Counselling issues

These are some of the issues I am trained and experienced in working with: :
Abuse and violence -  to help make sense of what happened and process some of the confusing and difficult feelings so that you can move on with our lives. More
Addiction -  whether your addiction is to alcohol, drugs, porn or another substance or behaviour, counselling can help make sense of the part addiction plays in your life, so that it is possible to move towards change.. More
Anger - to help understand and manage anger, so that you are in control, rather than the anger controlling you. More
Anxiety - to help understand more about how anxiety affects you, and in learn to change the way you respond, and lessen the impact it has. More
Bereavement - everyone’s experience is different, and whether your loss was recent or a long time ago, counselling can help you cope with the loss, including difficult feelings, and eventually face the future without the person who has died. More
Depression - to help understand the thoughts and feelings you experience, the impact it has on your daily life, what helps you when you feel this low and what steps you can take to manage and reduce your depression. More
Eating disorders - to help understand your eating 'patterns', the part they play in your life, and when you are ready, to let go of the eating disorder. More
Relationship difficulties - to help you understand more about the difficulties, and look at your options for change. counselling can also help you explore relationship 'patterns', which develop over a lifetime, and this can lead to new insight and opportunities for change. More
Self esteem - to help understand more about low self esteem, how it impacts on your life, and how you might change this now and in the future.
Stress -  to help understand more about how you are affected by stress, and how to manage the stress in the present, and reduce its impact in the future. More
Trauma - whether the traumatic event was recent, or a long time ago, counselling can help make sense of what happened and manage the impact and effects of the trauma, so that its possible to move forward in your life. More

There are many other issues that counselling can help with, and sometimes its a combination of issues that brings people to counselling. Please feel free to contact me to discuss whether counselling with me can help you with the issue or issues you are struggling with.
